Chae Yeon Cho is a board-certified anaesthetist at Min Hospital in Seoul, responsible for assessing patients before surgery, for general and regional anaesthesia, and for pain management afterwards. Qualified in medicine at Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine, then interned and trained in anaesthesiology and pain medicine at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital, and practised afterwards at Korea University Guro Hospital and at Chung-Ang University Hospital. Published work includes a randomised controlled trial of active forced-air warming during induction of anaesthesia, which tested whether warming a patient before the operation begins prevents the fall in body temperature that follows, in Medicine.
