Jeman Ryu is a urologist and director of the Seoul Station branch of Goldman Urology Clinic. He trained and practised in the department of urology at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, where his published research was in prostate cancer and in bladder pain. He was first author of a comparative study of complications after retropubic and robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, and of a study of how long the fulguration of Hunner's ulcers holds in interstitial cystitis, both in the Korean Journal of Urology. His later work at the same centre includes studies of testosterone recovery after androgen deprivation therapy, of palliative transurethral resection of the prostate in advanced disease, and of outcomes in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer treated with enzalutamide.
