Jongmin Kim is a board-certified surgeon and the director of Min Hospital in Seoul, operating on thyroid, breast, gastric, gallbladder and appendiceal disease and leading the hospital's metabolic and bariatric surgery programme. Trained in thyroid surgery at Kuma Hospital in Kobe and in metabolic surgery at China Medical University Hospital in Taichung, and holds adjunct professorships at the medical schools of Sungkyunkwan, Korea and Kyung Hee universities.
