Jun Hun Cho is a board-certified pathologist and director of pathology at Min Hospital in Seoul. Qualified in medicine at Sungkyunkwan University, with a master's degree from its graduate school and a doctorate from Soonchunhyang University, and trained in pathology at Samsung Medical Center. Served afterwards as a clinical fellow at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, and returned to Samsung Medical Center, rising through clinical assistant professor and attending assistant professor to associate professor of pathology. Published work includes a clinical validation of a laboratory-developed PD-L1 test for gastric cancer, in Molecular Diagnosis and Therapy; a study of the long-term prognosis of localised lymphoid hyperplasia of the rectum, in Gut and Liver; and a report of small-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ileum, in BMC Surgery.
