Goldman Urology is taking a major step forward in urinary stone treatment by utilizing the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The clinic recently introduced the next-generation extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter 'UROSTONE', incorporating AI-driven features to enhance precision and efficiency.

Traditional lithotripters often suffered from decreased efficiency when kidney stones shifted slightly due to the patient's breathing, causing shock waves to miss their target. In contrast, Euro-Stone is equipped with an AI respiratory trigger system and AI Auto-Focusing technology. The system analyzes the patient's respiratory patterns in real-time, tracks the minute movements of the stone, and automatically readjusts the shock wave targeting. This ensures that the shock wave consistently hits the center of the stone, significantly improving fragmentation efficiency and shortening procedure time.

Furthermore, it features the only auto-focusing function based on AI image recognition technology in Korea. This allows the system to independently analyze and adjust the stone's position and focus, maximizing surgical accuracy.

A representative from Goldman Urology stated, "Because the AI simultaneously detects the patient's breathing and the movement of the stone to automatically adjust the optimal shock wave, more precise and safe stone fragmentation is possible. We expect high patient satisfaction as procedure time is reduced and the burden of pain and retreatment is decreased."
