I have been in a long-distance relationship. Due to the distance and differing work schedules, I often find myself feeling lonely and watching adult content, leading to frequent habits of rapid ejaculation. Recently, when meeting my girlfriend, I've noticed I can't last more than an hour before feeling the urge to ejaculate. Is this a symptom of Premature Ejaculation (PE)?
1. Does frequent, rapid ejaculation during self-stimulation (sometimes for 3 consecutive days) cause long-term issues?
2. I am a smoker; does smoking contribute to this?
3. Are there non-surgical ways to overcome this?
4. Could it be due to my poor condition? I only get about 3-4 hours of sleep a night.

Hello, this is Dr. Je-man Ryu, Director of Goldman Urology at Seoul Station.
It sounds like you are experiencing significant concern regarding sudden changes in ejaculation timing, especially amidst the fatigue of a long-distance relationship and professional life. Based on your description, rather than a definitive diagnosis of premature ejaculation, it is highly likely that this is a temporary phenomenon caused by physical exhaustion and changes in ejaculation habits.
First, repeatedly practicing rapid ejaculation while viewing highly stimulating visual content can cause the brain and body to become accustomed to that speed, potentially reducing your ability to control ejaculation during actual intercourse. Furthermore, getting only 3-4 hours of sleep makes the nervous system hypersensitive, which is a major cause of reaching the point of climax earlier than usual. This is because your control over the muscles involved in ejaculation weakens when your overall condition is poor.
Beyond surgical options, it would be beneficial to restore your physical condition through regular sleep and combine this with pelvic floor muscle strengthening and ejaculation control training to desensitize yourself to stimulation.
At our urology clinic, we provide customized treatment plans by carefully assessing each patient's symptoms and health status based on extensive clinical experience. Finding the exact cause is the first step in treatment, so if these uncomfortable symptoms persist, I recommend seeking a professional urological evaluation. I hope this answer was helpful. Thank you.
