I'm a middle school student. For about 4 days, the area right above my left testicle has been hurting when touched. It's not a constant pain, but it's sharp if I bump it. Sometimes the pain reaches my lower left abdomen. I searched online and it sounds like testicular torsion, but I don't have extreme pain, fever, or visible changes. I've had similar pain before after sitting in a computer chair, but it went away in half a day. This time it's been 4 days. Is it a serious disease? I read that torsion must be treated within 6 hours, but it's been 4 days for me.

Hello, this is Dr. Je-man Ryu, Director of Goldman Urology at Seoul Station.
Your main symptoms are discomfort in the upper left scrotum and lower abdomen over the last 4 days. As you noted, testicular torsion is an emergency that involves unbearable pain and vomiting. If your pain levels are low and there is no fever or swelling, other causes are more likely. Habits like sitting in a chair for long periods or certain postures can irritate the blood vessels and nerves in that area. Conditions like varicocele or epididymitis can also cause heavy or tingling sensations in similar areas. Since this has persisted longer than your previous episodes, it is important to get it checked to rule out underlying issues. I recommend an evaluation to ensure proper recovery.
