My penis suddenly started hurting.
About a week ago, I had sex and didn’t notice anything unusual at first. Then I came to China, and when I touched the area, I noticed a small amount of white fluid coming out. I tried pulling slightly to see if more would come out, and starting the next day, the white discharge increased significantly.
Now, there is so much discharge that it stains my underwear, and I also feel pain when urinating.
Could this be urethritis?

Hello, this is Dr. Changki Lee from Goldman Urology Clinic, Incheon.
The presence of white discharge and pain during urination after an incubation period of about one week following sexual activity may suggest the possibility of urethritis.
If the discharge was initially minimal but has progressively increased to the point of staining your underwear, and is accompanied by pain during urination, there is a high likelihood that inflammation has developed within the urethra.
Although it can be alarming to experience these symptoms while traveling abroad, urethritis requires accurate diagnosis, as treatment varies depending on the causative organism. If left untreated, the infection may spread to conditions such as prostatitis or epididymitis, and symptoms may worsen.
It is important to visit a urology clinic and undergo tests such as a urinalysis or discharge PCR test to identify the exact pathogen. Based on the results, appropriate treatment can be initiated.
At our clinic, we carefully evaluate each patient’s symptoms and overall health condition based on extensive clinical experience, providing accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plans.
Identifying the exact cause is the first step toward effective treatment.
If your symptoms persist, we recommend visiting a urology clinic for further evaluation.
Thank you, and we hope this information was helpful.
