It has been 4 days since my circumcision.
There is no severe pain, but my penis looks slightly yellow, and I feel like there are small bumps or unusual lumps forming.
Could this be an infection? I’m a bit worried.

Hello, this is Dr. Changki Lee from Goldman Urology Clinic, Incheon.
At 4 days after circumcision, it is common to experience various changes as the wound begins to heal.
A yellowish discoloration around the surgical area may be part of the normal healing process, such as resolving bruising or dried wound discharge.
The small bumps or lump-like structures you are noticing are often due to temporary swelling at the stitch sites or mild tissue reaction from the procedure or anesthesia.
If there is no severe pain, these findings are generally considered part of the normal recovery process.
However, if you notice foul-smelling discharge, increasing redness, warmth, significant swelling, or worsening pain, these could be signs of infection and should be evaluated by a urology specialist.
At our clinic, we carefully assess each patient’s condition and provide accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plans.
Identifying the cause is the first step toward effective treatment.
If your symptoms persist or worsen, we recommend seeking medical evaluation.
Thank you, and we hope this information was helpful.
