It has been about 3 days since my circumcision.
Until yesterday, whenever I tried to wear pants, the contact caused extreme sensitivity, making it uncomfortable to wear anything.
Will it still be sensitive today?
When can I start wearing normal clothes comfortably?

Hello, this is Dr. Changki Lee from Goldman Urology Clinic, Incheon.
At 3 days after circumcision, it is very common to experience increased sensitivity.
The glans, which was previously covered by the foreskin, is now directly exposed to air and friction, making it highly sensitive. This is a normal part of the healing process.
Over time, the glans undergoes a process called keratinization, where the surface gradually adapts to external exposure, reducing discomfort.
During the first week after surgery, even light contact with clothing may feel painful or irritating.
It is recommended to wear loose, breathable clothing rather than tight-fitting pants to minimize friction and support healing.
In most cases, sensitivity improves within 1 to 2 weeks, and normal clothing can be worn comfortably afterward.
However, if the sensitivity does not improve over time or if you notice increasing redness, swelling, or worsening pain, it is advisable to visit a urology clinic for further evaluation.
At our clinic, we carefully assess each patient’s condition and provide accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plans.
Identifying the cause is the first step toward effective treatment.
If your symptoms persist, we recommend seeking medical evaluation.
Thank you, and we hope this information was helpful.
